Play-Offs, Winner, and Consolation Prize

I refined the Playoffs rules because I figured it would be unfair for whoever comes in First and Second place to be subject to elimination by losing to the last place player. There will be two rounds of Playoffs.

Week 9:

3rd v. 5th
4th v. 6th

1st Place and 2nd Place will have a bye, or in other words, they will not match-up. However, 1st and 2nd Place will still make predictions for points.

7th and 8th Place are eliminated for the rest of the season, but will still make predictions for points in order to be in the running for the Consolation Prize ($10)

Week 10:

Match-up 1: 1st vs. [3rd v. 5th] Winner of Week 9
Match-up 2: 2nd vs. [4th v. 6th] Winner of Week 9

All Fantasy Players will still submit predictions for Consolation prize.

Week 11:

Winner of Match-Up 1 vs. Winner of Match-Up 2

All Fantasy Players will still submit predictions for Consolation prize.

-Fantasy DWTS Winner will receive $70

-Consolation Prize of $10 for Fantasy Player with the Most Points.

Hopefully, there will be 11 weeks this season in order to accommodate our Fantasy DWTS. If it determined that there will be less than 11 episodes, I will modify playoffs immediately.

Bruno said "Mission Accomplished". Baz thinks its great that dance knows no age and that he's so full of life. Carrie Ann thinks that it was an amazing performance. Carrie likes Kym's outfit.

He started having problems with his toes. The doctor says he has a pre-stress fracture.

He was doing really well! Until he almost dropped Cheryl on her head at the very very end. He seemed very shook up about almost doing so.

Carrie Ann told him that he had to squeeze 'em together! Bruno said he nearly pulled it out of the bag but that it fell apart at the end. Baz says aside from the fall, thought that Tom had dignity and grace.

Tomorrow's results show will feature stars from Stomp the Yard and USC's marching band.

Baz Luhrman thought that her performance was the real thing - Bravo! Carrie thinks Ann would have hated the beginning, but haha He's not here! I don't understand why he wouldn't have liked it. Bruno felt like it was watching Josephine Baker and Clark Kent. He loved it, I think.

Kelly says that Tuesday was one of the best days of her life. Wow.

I think she messed up a bit on her Tango. There were a few missteps and you can tell cause she reacted.

Baz just loves Kelly Osborne as a person. He knows that there was mistakes but she fought through them. Carrie Ann believes that the pressure is getting to her and that when she messed up she should have stayed in character, but she really believes in her. Bruno thinks she could be amazing but that there were too many mistakes tonight.

She feels like she let him down. They are practicing before sunrise and until after sunset. Dang.

It seemed kind of boring again. As if she is not using the whole dance floor.

Bruno liked the confidence he exuded. Baz thought it was gorgeous and fantastic. Carrie Ann feels that this dance was a touchdown compared to last week and that Anna delivered more content.

This was actually the PERFECT dance for Chuck to do because he can look angry like he usually does. It wasn't bad at all.

Baz thought it was fantastic. Carrie Ann was a little frightened, but felt the dance had impact. Chuck Liddell got a new tatoo on the side of his scalp. Bruno says his dance showed that he worked really really hard.

Her performance was better last week IMHO. She was awkward with the Jive.

Bruno tells her to relax. Baz says that the Quickstep is such a difficult dance but felt that she lit up the room. Natalie is one of Carrie's favorites but wants her to work on imagining Alec as an extension of herself.

Ozzy Osbourne makes an appearance. Its funny. She says she's a crap dancer. I've always liked her sense of humor.

I wish she had a better outfit for her first dance.

She did well and is pretty graceful. You wouldn't have known she was a drugged out tomboy not that long ago. I'm rooting for her.

Her parents are there and her mother is totally crying. She ran across the dance floor to hug her mother.

Len thought it was the best Viennese Waltz of the night. Wow. A total 360 from his first judging comments.

Their first dance is Salsa. Oh wow I think Joanna Krupa might be a sleeper, she can really move. Sleeper, in that she will surprise everyone and do really well.

Len finally got his hot smokin' salsa. I'm genuinely surprised. Let's see if she can beat Aaron.

Len is totally picking on her technical issues as if its the 8th episode. He's so mad. Called it a theatrical hodgepodge. Mya is taking the criticism well. Ooh, Len blames Dmitry and says that HE let Mya down by not teaching her the Viennese Waltz.

She admits she's awkward. He called her Mr. Magoo. I didn't know she had 7 siblings.

She seems physically incapable of relaxing her shoulders. It was alright, not super graceful.

Bruno called it inadequate. It was too sweet and sickly for Len but thought she kept her holds. However, her feet were no good.

She danced on some show in the 80's called Graffiti Rock. Kind of reminded me of Dance Party USA.

They're dancing the salsa first. She's coordinated but talks too much.

Her performance was a little stiff and at times really unsure, but she can move. Or maybe Max is just way too fast for her...

Len doesn't think she has good hips because her feet were too flat.
Bruno thinks she keeps her weight to far back, so her timing was off. And something about her bazooms. He's so odd.

Tomorrow's Draft

Yes, Season 9's Fantasy Dancing with Stars by the Gurls is going ONLINE.

Rules:

The Gurls Fantasy Draft will begin at 6:30pm tomorrow, but everyone is welcome to arrive at 5:30pm. There will be 8 rounds of drafting. In each round, you will choose one star. At the end of the 8 rounds, you must end up with 4 Female Stars and 4 Male Stars. At the end of the draft, I will post online and provide in person, the first week's match-ups.

Match-Ups: Yes, this season, a first for Gurls Fantasy DWTS, each week you will face off against another player. As in Fantasy Football, you will be judged first by number of Wins, and then on number of Points. At Week 8, will we have playoffs (1st place v. 8th place, 2nd v. 7th, etc...).

Predictions: This season you will be asked to predict the ENTIRE lineup of dancers and theiir finishing place. Your prediction of course will include the eight dancers that make up your team. And as we have done in the past, you will predict who will be eliminated from the competition.

Scoring:

You will receive 4 points for each correct dancer that is ON your team.

You will receive 2 points for each correct dancer that is not on your team.

Each week's bonus will be worth 3 points.

Correct elimination prediction is worth 1 point.

Predictions will be due to me the Friday before the show by email. After receiving all the predictions, the Match-Ups will be posted on this blog. Results, from the show AND our fantasy game, will also be posted each week.

I know it sounds so serious, but I think it will be tons and tons of FUN :).
